Most other 'Mean' interactions don't typically happen unless your sim's relationship bar is below neutral or unless something bad has happened between the two sims, like a breakup, but this 'Berate Ignorance' interaction seems to happen out of the blue for no reason at all.
An autonomous interaction will begin and things go really well at first, but then, randomly out of nowhere, that 'Berate Ignorance' interaction will happen.
I cannot begin to tell you how many times this one interaction has messed everything up between my sim and a number of other sims. One thing I like to do when I get my sims together with other sims is to have them interact completely (or almost completely) autonomously so that I can see what happens, and it is a lot of fun, but with this one sim who happens to be the first sim I created myself I get - in addition to all of the regular interactions - this group of interactions that come from being part of the 'Nerd' group and one of these interactions is 'Berate Ignorance.'
